Piccadilly Revisited sold out: Big Success in Beijing!

Hello all!

I have recently presented and performed ‘Piccadilly Revisited’ at the MOMA Broadway Theatre in Beijing, one of the very few art house cinemas in Beijing. Both performances were sold out with fantastic reception! I have really enjoyed my time working here.

The Piccadilly Revisited team band also did a Q&A after the first performance where most of the audience stayed behind to watch and discuss. Some thought-provoking discussion about Anna May Wong and on oversea Chinese people in general.

I want to thank everyone for coming and hope to perform there again soon!

Upcoming Concert 17.02.2012

Hello everyone!

I am still slowly re building my website, so please be patient!

In the meantime I have recently written a new piece using Chinese and Western Instruments for the Cambridge University Chinese Orchestra (CUCOS). It’s called ‘As in a Dream’ based on an ancient Chinese poem in the same name. It’ll be performed (along with other works) on Friday 17th February, 7.30pm at West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge. You can buy tickets at http://www.cucos.co.uk/booking2012.php for £10/5. I’ve been so excited to be involved as I get to write some live music using instruments such as the Dizi, Yangqin & Pipa as well as some strings & woodwind! The piece is very descriptive and programme based and sounding fab, so do join us in Cambridge!

Bye for now!
